Hot Club of Cowtown
 

For nearly thirty years, since the late 1990s, Austin, Texas-based Hot Club of Cowtown’s exceptional musicianship and electrifying live performances have established it as the band's global brand. Drawing inspiration from Bob Wills's Western swing and the historic fiddle-driven dance bands of the American Southwest, as well as European hot jazz made famous in Paris by Stéphane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt, the band gained international recognition. The ensemble combines vintage string music, three-part harmony singing, and lively dance tunes, all performed with notable joy and skill. Whether the venue is a Performing Arts Center or a street dance, this group consistently delivers a compelling performance. The band has been an esteemed member of the TCA Touring roster for over ten years (currently via Elana James), enabling many Texas presenters to host performances supported by quarterly grant funding. This funding can often be extended annually to include regions such as Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.
